WAITING ON THE FRONT LINE OF NO MAN'S LAND
Observation Points of the Peschmerga at Kalash Khanah, 65km southwest of Arbil in Kurdistan in Iraq.
The villages controlled by fighters of the so-called Islamic State are less than 20km away. The border is watched by Peschmerga Forces who are observing the "no man's land" in between. Besides the fightings often pictured in the news during wars, soldiers have to deal with long periods of waiting while constantly being on alert.
